In 1824, a small country brewery in Grevenstein began brewing beer in accordance with the German Purity Law. Almost 200 years later, one of the most modern private breweries in Europe can be found here: the C. & A. Veltins brewery. The foundations of this success story of the company, which has been run by the Veltins family for five generations, are investment power, entrepreneurial vision and a corporate culture that is characterized by team spirit and the highest quality standards in equal measure. The spring water, which rises in the mountains around Grevenstein, has always been particularly clear and soft - ideal conditions for a Pilsner-style beer. High investments over the last two decades are just one guarantee for the consistently high level of quality. But the most important thing remains people. Today, at the interface between nature and technology, experienced master brewers turn all these factors into a fresh Veltins - naturally in accordance with the German Purity Law. The Veltins brand includes a fresh Pilsener and a Radler, as well as a 0.0% non-alcoholic and a 0.0% non-alcoholic Radler. The V+ brand offers beer mix refreshment in various flavors and the non-alcoholic Veltins Fassbrause is also convincing. The popular Grevenstein variety trio with Grevenstein Original, Naturtrübes Helles and Natur-Radler is the right choice for all specialty beer lovers. Recently, the "helles Pülleken", a new product, has caused a stir among beer lovers.

Wanderer mit einem frischen Veltins

The Rothaarsteig has been a remarkable success story since its opening and is now one of the most important long-distance hiking trails in Germany. This is not surprising, as the Sauerland and Siegerland regions are extremely popular and varied hiking regions with a lot to offer. The C. & A. Veltins brewery, with its roots and brewing location in the Sauerland, is committed to this region and is a reliable partner to many clubs, restaurants and hotels. The traditional brewery from Meschede-Grevenstein has been at the side of the Rothaarsteig Association since 2006. Numerous joint campaigns, including for the certified partner businesses of the hiking trail, have been successfully implemented over the years. "The Rothaarsteigverein is evidence of a collaboration that fits perfectly with the Veltins brand image," says Marketing Director Herbert Sollich. "This is a living and successful partnership in the Sauerland!"

The bitterness is perceived as very pleasant and harmonizes perfectly with the tangy refreshment. The beer has a harmonious finish and is characterized by a slight astringency.

Pale Pülleken

Helles Pülleken

A glance at the label exudes a pleasant lightness and looks like an invitation from a gastronomic figurehead. The handy bottle, which also fits easily into a hiking rucksack, is reminiscent of the 1970s, when the Euro bottle was very popular in Germany. With the "Pülleken", the C. & A. Veltins brewery is presenting a bottom-fermented beer that is only mildly hopped and unfolds its aroma through the harmonious aromatic hops. The "Pülleken" is an uncomplicated, mildly tasty pale ale with a humorous character that spreads good humor and joie de vivre.

Grevenstein Original

The naturally cloudy Grevenstein Original is a quaffable country beer. Traditional malts give the beer its amber color and full-bodied aroma. The beer presents itself with orange reflections and a velvety soft head. The complex aroma is initially dominated by caramel flavors with a slight undertone of honey, roasted almonds and fresh fruity notes. Despite its round and slightly malty-sweet body, Grevenstein is very lively and elegant. In the aftertaste, there is a slight roasted bitter note paired with nutty flavor impressions. The Grevenstein country beer brand combines three types of beer: Grevensteiner Original, Grevensteiner Natur-Radler and Grevensteiner Helles are available to hikers of the Rothaarsteig as enjoyable alternatives for on the go or after a strenuous day of hiking.
