SportScheck hiking day on the Rothaarsteig
The Rothaarsteig long-distance hiking trail runs for 154 kilometers between Brilon in the Sauerland, across the Wittgensteiner Bergland and the Siegerland to Dillenburg at the foot of the Westerwald. On SportScheck Hiking Day - August 24, 2025 - we would like to take you on the fourth stage of the Rothaarsteig between Schanze and Rhein-Weser-Turm. You have the choice between a longer, challenging tour of 16 kilometers or a shorter, moderate hike of approx. 10.4 kilometers. On both tours, you can look forward to narrow paths and great views. Tickets are only available at the SportScheck store in Dortmund. You don't have to worry about almost anything on the SportScheck hiking day - everything is already organized for you, from the bus transfer to the guided tours and the refreshment stop at the end.
The SportScheck hiking day
- approx. 07:30 am departure from Dortmund (time & place to be announced)
- approx. 09:00 a.m. arrival at the starting point at the Hotel Hubertushöhe in Schmallenberg-Latrop
- 10:00 am Start of the longer tour in Latrop
- 10:00 Bus shuttle for the shorter tour to the starting point in Bad Berleburg-Wingeshausen
- from approx. 14:45 stop at the Rhein-Weser-Turm
- approx. 18:00 Return journey to Dortmund
- approx. 19:30 Arrival in Dortmund (time & place to be announced)
